Well, we may be battling poisonous caterpillars out there in the woolly wilds of our sitío, but at least the nearly finished Yellow Brick Road (that isn't yellow) has brought some order and semblance of civilization. We can now drive up the final stretch without choking on dust in the dry season. Or making the necessary prayers to all the saints in the rainy season.
Civilization does create other worries however. Like traffic jams.
And road rage if you accidentally cut someone off.
But I'm pretty sure most everyone agrees that these are a small price to pay. Except maybe the horse. I bet his hooves preferred the dirt.

they paved paradise and put up a road :)
